Twin Brother

One day my 4 year old son was bored. He was home playing all morning by himself...begging me to play with him while I take care of his lil' sister. So I told him that we could make his twin brother so he could have someone to play with. We took out a huge piece of paper, I traced his whole body while he was lying down on the paper, then I instructed him to color and cut it out. It kept him occupied for the next hour. He was very happy after making his twin brother. He named him "Frosty". He was running around with Frosty until he got exhausted and ready to sit down for a movie.
Frosty saved my day. Phew!

Happy Holidays

A couple weeks ago while I was driving my 4 yr old son to Toys R Us, he saw these Christmas decorations along the road. He got very excited and yelled....
"Mommy look, it's Taco Bell Christmas!"

It was very funny to hear him say that because we've only took him to Taco Bell a few times. I can't believe he actually remembered their logo.

New Addition

I finally got a chance to pick a photo of our brand new member of the family. Isabella Brielle was born on November 16, 2010. She was 18.5" , 7lbs 3oz.
James, now 4, is very proud to be a big brother. He shows jealousy once in a while but he loves her. We try to give him as much love and attention as possible to give him the assurance that he's still loved by mommy and daddy.

To our friends on facebook who shared their thoughts on our baby's name, Thank You. Most of you picked Isabella. My husband love the name "Belle" (French for beautiful) and it was also his grandmother's name (Isabelle).  Brielle, her middle name, means "God is my Strength".

Time To Put The Tree Up

I've been waiting for this day to come. We can finally feel the spirit of Christmas in our house. My husband and my son brought out the christmas stuff from the garage and put the tree up in the living room. It was a very relaxing afternoon while I take care of our newborn and watch my boy and his daddy work together. They did a great job!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Today, my son came home from school (he's in pre-school) with his Thanksgiving projects. They made Turkeys with colored paper. He was so proud of his work, he came right into his sister's room where I was feeding her to show me his work. He said to me "Mommy look what I did. We made a Turkey! COCKADOODLE DOO!!!"

I thought it was so cute. It's something he sees once a year and still not quite sure what Thanksgiving is all about. I'm just always grateful for a beautiful family that I have....2 precious lil' ones and a loving husband.

Walking Made Me Go Into Labor

This is just a follow up on my recent post "When Should I get Induced?"I did tell everyone around me about my concerns on getting an induction.  Of course everyone had their own views about it.
It was on Monday morning (Nov.15) when I brought my son to school and talked to a few parents about my scheduled induction on Friday (Nov.19). Some shared their own labor pains, some wished me luck, and one said "go for a long walk".  I laughed but that night I decided to give walking a try. I walked around our pool 25 times (approximately half a mile). A couple of hours later I went into labor. Then a couple of hours after my first contraction my baby came. That was on Nov. 16 at 1:01am.
Thanks God I didn't have to get induced.

Just posted my Logo today for Pokskids blog. The Artist? My 4 year old son. He made this artwork when he was 3 - on a scrap cardboard with his markers. It's about 3ft x 1ft. My husband thought it was just like an aborigines artwork. Like what we see painted or carved in caves and on rocks from thousands of years ago.
My son loves cars so his subjects are pretty obvious.

He draws almost everyday and I take pictures of some that interest me. I'll probably frame a few of them. It's just something nice to look back to when he gets older.

When Should I Get Induced?

Today is my due date....but NO signs of my Baby yet? I am very anxious to see her. I'm excited but at this point getting a little nervous. She'll be passed her due date tomorrow and I know that I would have to make a decision on getting an induction in the next week or two if I don't get into labor soon.

The big question is.....When should I Get Induced?

Considering the issue of Meconium Aspiration Syndrome on overdue babies and their continued growth as you wait longer. These things in mind put a lot of pressure on me.
I'd like to avoid induction as much as possible. I want to have a natural delivery...
